Paul is widely regarded as one of the most prominent writers in the New Testament. Of the 27 books in the New Testament, Paul is credited with at least 13 letters. Paul was well respected; however, that was not always the case. Paul, previously known as Saul, was a man feared for his harsh treatment of the followers of Christ. With Saul’s transformation on that road to Damascus, it was another man who would play a significant role, Ananias.

In the book of Acts (9:10-16), God calls on Ananias to go to a blinded Saul and place his hands on his eyes to restore his sight. Ananias, who knew of Saul’s reputation, was concerned about the charge to arrest any follower of Jesus given to Saul by the chief priests. God replied, “But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” ~Acts 9:16-17

Ananias had to simply trust Christ, even if he did not see or understand. In Psalm 145:17, it states, “The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.” This encourages us to trust the heart of God. Everything He does flows from righteousness, goodness, and unfailing faithfulness. Even when we do not understand His timing or the path He allows us to walk, we can be assured that He is never careless with our lives. His ways are right, and His faithfulness is present in every detail.

Let this truth encourage you today: God is faithful in all He does, not just in what we can easily understand. He is faithful in the waiting, faithful in the answering, faithful in the guiding, and faithful in the strengthening. Focus on Jesus ~ Because His character is trustworthy, you can surrender your concerns to Him and move forward with hope.

Prayer: Righteous and faithful God, thank You that I can trust You in every part of my life. Encourage me when I cannot see the full picture and remind me that Your ways are always good. Help me walk forward with peace, hope, and confidence because You are faithful in all You do. Amen.

Peace & Blessing!
