As the Israelites were leaving Egypt, many became afraid as they realized that Pharoah and his army were in pursuit. After all that time in bondage under Egyptian rule, and to see their escape plans possibly ruined, they were concerned with fears and questions. It was Moses who spoke to them with the assurance; “Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.” ~Exodus 14:13. In these words, Moses knew that God’s faithful protection would cover the Israelite from any harm.

We read the scriptures in the Psalms that offer us a tender picture of God’s faithful protection. “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” ~Psalms 91:4 Our God covers, shelters, and welcomes His people into a place of refuge. When life feels heavy or uncertain, this verse reminds us that we are not uncovered or forgotten. God’s faithfulness surrounds us like a shield, giving comfort to our hearts and courage for the day ahead.

Take heart: the faithful God is watching over you with care. You can run to Him when you feel weary, rest in Him when you feel afraid, and trust Him when you do not know what comes next. Focus on Jesus ~ Under His wings, there is peace, protection, and the reassuring reminder that you are held by the One who never fails.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for covering me with Your faithfulness and giving me a safe place in Your presence. When I feel overwhelmed, help me remember that I am not alone. Strengthen me with Your peace, guard my heart, and help me rest in the confidence that You are faithfully watching over me. Amen.

Peace & Blessing!
