Two percent. Seven (7) million people. According to recent economic data, those are the numbers that represent the amount of US residence reported as unemployed. On one hand, it doesn’t seem like a large number; it’s only 2%, right? Think about the long-term impact of unemployment. The inability to pay your bills and calls from creditors may only be the beginning. The loss of basic services and needs like food, utilities, medicine and suddenly, panic starts to take over. Questions on how you (or your entire family) will survive. How will you manage? Where will the help you need come from?
The book of Hebrews gives us a steady hope to hold onto: Jesus has never stopped being faithful, and He will not start failing us now. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” ~Hebrews 13:8. The same Savior who showed compassion, brought healing, restored the broken, and strengthened the weary is still at work today. No matter how much life changes, His love remains constant, His presence remains near, and His promises remain trustworthy.
That means you can face today with confidence, knowing you are not walking through anything alone. When your strength feels small, Jesus is still strong. When your circumstances feel uncertain, He is still faithful. Focus on Jesus and let this verse encourage your heart: the One who carried you before will keep you now, and He will remain your hope forever.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for being faithful in every season of my life. Help me remember that You are constant, even when things around me change. Strengthen my heart today, fill me with peace, and remind me that the same Savior who has kept me before will continue to keep me now. Amen!
Peace & Blessing!
