One of the iconic scenes in the movie, “The Wizard of Oz,” was that the Great Oz, was merely a man hiding who he really was. When the dog, Toto, pulls back the curtain, the wizard yells, “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” Truth is that he was no great and powerful wizard. He was just a simple, but good man trying to be a wizard. Today, when we think of the phrase, “man behind the curtain,” we think of someone who is trying to control or manipulate for their own gain and not that of others.

Paul, writing in the book of Romans, encourages us to believe that God is working, even in the parts of life that feel confusing, painful, or unfinished. Patience allows us to trust the process while God brings the pieces together according to His purpose. What seems disconnected to us is never disconnected from His plan.
Trusting God with patience means refusing to judge the outcome too soon. God can use delays, detours, lessons, and even disappointments for our good and His glory. While we wait, Focus on Jesus; we can be confident that He is shaping something meaningful beyond what we can currently see.

Prayer: Lord, help me trust that You are working all things together for good, even when I do not understand the process. Give me patience to wait well and the faith to believe that Your purpose is still unfolding. Amen.
