Do you remember when your grade-school teacher asked the class, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Some kids want to be fireman, police officer, doctor, star athlete, or a famous entertainer. Some want to follow in a family business like working on a farm or in a restaurant. It’s an age-old question that invites imagination and creativity in seeing how each child may see themselves and their perspective on the world around them. The encouragement comes in helping kids find their confidence. Whatever the path, it will require time, education, hard work and patience. We learn, through faith, that we must trust in the process of God’s calling.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s plans are not rushed, random, or uncertain. Even when life feels delayed or unclear, God is still working with purpose, care, and perfect timing. Patience becomes easier when we remember that the One who holds the future also holds us in the present.
Trusting God, with patience in our everyday situations, means believing that His hope is greater than our disappointment and His future is better than our fear.

What will become of our futures? We don’t know; yet we must Focus on Jesus. While we wait, we can rest in the assurance that God’s intentions toward us are good, and His timing will never fail His purpose.

Prayer: Lord, help me trust Your plan even when I cannot see the full picture. Teach me to wait with faith, hope, and patience, knowing that You are guiding me toward the future You have prepared. Amen.
