Trusting God’s Direction

07-01-2026 - John Scott | Proverbs 3:5-6

Do you remember those “old school” family vacations? Those typical images of the family packing bags, lunch in the cooler and everyone piled into the family station wagon. One of the most critical parts of planning the trip was using a paper map; well before the age of GPS services. You had to hope that your directions, using that map, were accurate to arrive at your desired destination.

When life feels uncertain, this verse invites us to place our full confidence in God rather than in our limited perspective. We often want clear answers and immediate direction, but the Lord asks for our trust before He reveals the path. As we surrender our plans and acknowledge Him in every step, He gently leads us with wisdom and peace.

Even when we do not understand what God is doing, we can rest in the truth that His way is always better than our own. We must Focus on Jesus and surrender our situation to Him and know that His direction will lead us towards the right path. Trust grows stronger each time we choose obedience over fear and faith over confusion.

Peace & Blessings!

Prayer: Lord, help me trust You with all my heart and follow Your leading, even when I cannot see the whole way ahead.
Amen!
