It is noted that Dr. Martin Luther King always carried two books with him. One was the Bible and the other was Howard Thurman’s Jesus and the Disinherited. In this book Howard Thurman points out that fear is one of the Hounds of Hell that dog the footsteps of the Disinherited. Fear strikes at the Heart of the believer. Fear has a way of making us call into questions the power, grace and mercy of God. However, in this Psalm the writer encourages us to have Faith in God despite any fear that my try to overtake us. The writer points out who the Lord is and what the Lord will do. Isn’t it good news to know that no matter what comes your way God will see you through. Choose today what it will be. Fear or Faith!
