06-17-2026 - John Scott | Isaiah 41:10

Recently, we’ve been studying the book of Genesis & Exodus. Looking at the life of Moses, especially after he left the home of Pharaoh, shows us an example of how he questioned his own life, purpose and who GOD was. When God meets him at the burning bush, God ultimately calls Moses to go back and confront the Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

It is in moments like that of Moses, that we too, at times, question ourselves, our abilities and our purpose. Moses didn’t believe he was capable, qualified or even a good enough speaker. All that fear became crippling…until God reassured him by saying, And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you[a] will worship God on this mountain.” ~Exodus 3:12

Fear has a way of making us feel alone, small, and uncertain. But in His goodness, God does not leave us to carry our burdens by ourselves. He comes near with His presence, speaks peace to our anxious hearts, and reminds us that we belong to Him. The Lord is good not only because He is strong, but because He uses His strength tenderly on behalf of His children.

He does not stand at a distance while we struggle; He upholds us, strengthens us, and lovingly walks with us through every season. When life feels heavy, we need to Focus on Jesus. We can rest in the goodness of a God who stays close, holds us steady, and never lets us go.

Peace & Blessings!

Prayer: Father, thank You for being so good and so near to us. When fear rises in our hearts, remind us that You are with us and that Your strong hand is holding us fast. Strengthen us, steady us, and help us rest in the comfort of Your faithful presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
