05-06-2026 - John Scott | Genesis 41:39-40

The story of Joseph in Genesis 37-45 is a powerful example of new beginnings and resilience. Despite facing hardship and injustice, Joseph remained faithful and was ultimately favored by Pharaoh after interpreting dreams. His actions not only saved Egypt but also reunited and rescued his family, demonstrating how perseverance and trust can turn adversity into blessing and renewal.

New beginnings often arrive quietly—sometimes after disappointment, sometimes after waiting longer than expected. Yet each new day is an invitation to step forward with renewed purpose. No matter what yesterday held, today offers a clean slate. Growth doesn’t require perfection; it requires willingness.

Joseph used his new beginning to honor both God and trust in his calling. In Genesis 41:39-40, “Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” His faith allowed him to trust that even small steps mattered. You too, when you Focus on Jesus, you can choose hope over hesitation while you align yourself with possibility. New beginnings are less about dramatic change and more about faithful movement forward, one decision at a time.

Peace & Blessing!
