One moment at a time

04-08-2026 - John Scott | Psalms 28:7

Big decisions, every have any of those? Okay, everyone has. What are “big” decisions? Travel across the country to start college, a new job in a new city, buying your first home – all have been major decision for a lot of us. At times, they can be an exercise in the ultimate due diligence plan. A pros-cons list, evaluating every angle, and seeking advice from a mentor of family member. It can be so troubling is causing fear, panic and even sleeplessness. What do you do?

Psalm 28:7 reminds us that God is not only our protector but also our source of inner strength. When life feels overwhelming and we’re unsure where to turn, the psalmist’s confidence in God’s faithfulness offers hope. Placing our trust in the Lord means we don’t have to rely on our own limited strength; instead, we lean on His steadfast love and power to carry us through any circumstance.

As we trust in God, just like the psalmist, our hearts can find joy and gratitude even in difficult moments. God’s help brings peace and assurance, inspiring us to respond with thanksgiving and praise. Today, whatever you face, remember that God is your strength and shield—He is trustworthy and will help you. Let your heart rejoice and lift a song of thanks, knowing you are never alone.

If you need strength or peace in managing big (and little) decisions, Focus on Jesus. He will bring healing to your soul and a voice of praise to honor His Holy Name!

Peace & Blessings!
