“What does God want from me?” Like so many, Patricia found herself asking that question often. She was raising 2 boys, commuting over an hour each way to work a full-time job, and volunteering with the church youth group. When someone needed her, she was there to help her family, friends and neighbors. If it needed to be done, she would AND could get it done! She never said no!
Patricia’s commitment to others demonstrated the words of Paul to the church in Ephesus. Paul shares that “...we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10) For all we do, we can be confident that our efforts will be accepted as serving His plan and purpose.
Are you like Patricia? You serve your family, your children and your spouse. You serve your employer. You serve in your church and community. At time, it can feel exhausting and over-whelming. Through it all, do you ever question what you have been called to do in the name of service to Christ? If you do, don’t! Today...Be More ... Accept the call to be chosen for God’s work. No matter what we do, in His name, it will be received well. Serve Him well and remember the words of Christ, in talking with the disciples. He told them, “As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.” When He calls...SERVE!
