In the book of Acts, 2nd Chapter, we come to the day of Pentecost. This time in church history was significant in that it birth the church as we know it today. As you go further in the text, you will find that when the people came together and experienced the presence and power of God, they began to worship, serve and work together for the benefit of each other. Living as ambassadors for Christ brings forth commonality among all of us. In other words, we share the same struggles, joys, triumphs, tragedies and even success, because we share a commonality that comes from our relationship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is this commonality in Christ that binds us together. My prayer is that we recognize that despite the world’s attempt to divide us, we have more in common than we realize through our relationship with God.
