In this chosen text, God is speaking to Joshua, who would carry the mantle given to him by Moses. Joshua would be the one to take the people into the promise land. However, before they would enter the promise land, they would be required to fight several battles. Yet, through the guidance of God, God would make good on his promise to His people. Joshua would become a great leader to the children of Israel. I believe Joshua’s success was built on a foundation of knowing that God would be faithful to His promise. What was shared with Joshua is still true for us today. When all else fails, we can draw hope in knowing that God is faithful to His people.
