12-29-2020 - John Scott | Job 1:20-22

Many times, in life you can tell from someone’s praise, shout or testimony that God has done something spectacular in their lives. Their worship is predicated on what God has done or is doing. By no means am I saying this is bad. However, what I am trying to say is that our worship should not be just predicated on those things God gives us or blesses us with. Our worship should be on who God is and what He means to us.

Job demonstrates this in our text. Job lost everything. Yet, he still worshipped God in the midst. Your worship becomes powerful when you can still bring worship; the Lord giveth or the Lord taketh away. If God does not do anything else for me, He has already done enough.

To God be the glory!!
