Praising God in the midst

10-13-2020 - John Scott | Jonah 2:1-6

In the book of Jonah, we come to the story of a wayward prophet, who refused to follow God’s directives. As a result of his disobedience, he found himself in the belly of the Whale. In cases like these, many people would panic and cry out in fear. Yet, Jonah chose to praise and pray to God. Upon completion of his praise and prayer moment, Jonah was released from the Whale and sent to Nineveh with renewed purpose.

Take a page from Jonah. If you find yourself in the midst of something and you feel you can’t get out, begin to praise God in the midst. There is an old saying that when praises goes up blessings come down. Lifting up the name of the Lord can lead to the Lord lifting you out of your situation.

Amen!!
