How does God know we Love Him? I believe God discovers our Love for Him through the way we not only live our lives, but the effort we put into trying to please Him and honor Him with our lives.

In our preceding Biblical Text, we come to what is known as the “Shema.” The Shema is the Jewish Confession of Faith. This was recited twice a day by the Jewish people. However, it also needed to be supported by the how the people lived. We know that God’s people during this time period did not always live by what they said on a daily basis. Yet, God still expressed His love to them. As we reflect on the Shema, remember God doesn’t just need lip service, God needs life service. Make sure what you say to God is backed up by what you do for God.
