07-30-2020 - John Scott | Psalms 30:5

When I was growing up, I would always hear from the senior saints about making sure I have some assurance. Before I asked them to clarify this statement, I was always under the belief that they were referring to the word insurance. It wasn’t until I got older that someone clarified this statement for me. The person was not talking insurance, but assurance. Assurance is the belief and knowledge that God will take care of you no matter where you find yourself.

This is what the Psalmist was referring to in our text. He was speaking of the assurance that God’s favor will bring his sorrow to joy in the morning. When you have the assurance of the master, you can rest assured that Joy will come in the morning.

To God be the Glory!!
