05-07-2020 - John Scott | Romans 12:12

One of the hardest things to do is to be positive in the midst of trouble and/or tragedy. As a child of God, we are called to place our hope and joy in God. In other words, my Joy and/or happiness is not based on external stimuli, but an internal stimuli that is drawn from one’s belief and trust in God.

In our text, Paul encourages those Christians in Rome to always be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. These steps taking by the believer will help in navigating them through the difficulties of life. God didn’t promise us that there will always be sunny days and happy moments, but He did promise that He would never leave us or forsake us. Knowing this, I can be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.

To God be the glory!!
