#BeMore - Faithful

02-12-2020 - John Scott | Psalms 46

As we begin this new year, we must cross the proverbial bridge; between the past and the future. As with each new year, we often reflect on our suffering or adversity. We may have faced financial hardships or job loss. We may have overcome an illness or other medical ailments. Whatever those challenges may have been, we know that we have the one true God who will always stand by us. He is our safe haven, our counselor, our Great Provider. As the Psalmist wrote in 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

As we begin 2020, Be More … faithful. Many of us start by making lists of our resolutions and all the things we hope to accomplish. We may be in need of healing, a new job or facing a new chapter in our lives. Before you do, I encourage you to pause and ask God for His guidance and strength. In Psalm 121:1-2, it says “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” May God bless you and keep you!
