01-07-2020 - John Scott | Isaiah 7:14

Have you ever felt hopeless and saw no relief in sight? Don’t be hard on yourself. We all have found ourselves at moments like this. This was the case in our text. The king, who is alluded to earlier in this text was hopeless and struggling with unbelief. In order to reassure him, God sent him a sign. The sign God alluded to was the birth and naming of His son. His son Immanuel would come and set things straight. When you check into the meaning of Immanuel, you will find that Immanuel means God is with us. Whenever we find ourselves in challenging circumstances, we must believe that God is with us through His son Jesus Christ.

Amen!
