I am a true sports lover. One of my favorite sports is football. In the game of football, the opposing team, from time to time, will get an interception. Interceptions happen whenever the quarterback running the offense, throws a ball that is caught or "intercepted" by the other team. The person intercepting the ball now makes it possible for his team to bring out their offense or obtain a score for their team.

Well, this is what the writer of Hebrews was talking about in our chosen text. Satan thought he had taken us for his own purposes, but God through his Son came and grabbed us. Now, we are on His team and experiencing eternal life.
