10-29-2019 - John Scott | Ephesians 6:10-11

When I was a little boy, my mother would always tell me to put on the proper clothes for school and church. According to my mother, it was important that I dressed appropriately whenever I was in certain surroundings. My mother believed, and I would learn later, that people’s response toward you can sometimes be brought about by your appearance and attire. If you want people to respect you, then there is a way you present yourself to others.

In Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, Paul challenges the believers to put on the whole armor of God. The armor is God’s attire for the believer. Whenever you wear the armor, you are well equipped to deal with the tricks and attacks of the enemy. Therefore, if you find yourself caught in the tentacles of the enemy, I challenge you to put on the whole armor of God, so you can handle whatever the enemy throws your way.

Amen!!
