05-23-2019 - John Scott | Luke 15:28-30

In the familiar story of the Prodigal Son, we are reminded of the actions of the older brother. His demeanor and behavior is not something uncommon to all of us. We too, can become bitter over the actions of someone else. The older brother was upset that his father went through this entire celebration for a son who had disobeyed him. Instead of focusing on the fact that his brother had returned in his right mind and remorseful for his actions, the older brother chose to focus on himself and what he felt he was entitled to.

As we continue down our Christian journey, never let us get so bitter where we lose sight of what God is doing around us and for those we call family and friends.

Amen!!!
