At one point or another we all have started something. To start something calls for us to initiate something we may or may not have done before. Either way, we are beginning a process that could be challenging, troublesome and I dare say exhilarating. Where something begins, something must end.

New beginnings create opportunities, possibilities and blessings that we may have never experienced before. In our chosen text, John shares with us that Jesus was there in the beginning of time. He was preexistent. Jesus existence before time itself was not some historical statement being made by John, but a hope statement that Jesus` preexistence is assurance for us that our past, present and future is in the hands of God. Starting anew with God gives us hope in when life seems uncertain and dark. When you choose to begin life anew, begin with Jesus. Amen!!
