03-12-2019 - John Scott | Acts 2:41-42

There is a concept being utilized by environmentalist to describe a place where people come together for a common purpose for the sake of the people. The concept is called sustainable communities. Sustainable communities share a common purpose in that it strives to be a place where people thrive to enjoy good health and create a high quality of life. A sustainable community seeks to maintain and improve the economic, environmental and social characteristics of an area so its members can continue to lead healthy and productive lives.

Luke, the writer of Acts shares with us the actions of a several people who were touched by God’s Word and Spirit. After the day of Pentecost, the people began to do things that were not common at that time. They began to share in everything they did. And, as a result, the church grew expediently. All of this happened because the people chose to share what they had with each other. The ultimate result was that they became a greater people and church. Let God use us to share with others for the betterment of the other. “I am because you are, you are because I am.” Amen!!
