Happy New Year!
By most accounts, the name Billy Graham is as familiar a name as any name in history; especially amongst Christians. Billy Graham was born November 7, 1918 (proud to be born in the same month) He committed his life to Christ at age 16 at a revival meeting. Through that commitment and dedication to speak the gospel, Graham became a household name for his evangelistic crusades.
I believe Billy Graham considered it a privilege and a duty to share the gospel with world and anyone who would listen. He came to know Christ at an early age. More importantly, he learned to understand the responsibility; the responsibility to share God’s Word and save as many lives as he could. Philippians 2 tell us to “…look to the interests others.”
Late in his life, Billy Graham was quoted saying, “I’ve become an old man now. And I’ve preached all over the world. And the older I get, the more I cling to that hope that I started with many years ago, and proclaimed it in many languages to many parts of the world.”
Focus on Jesus; use the example of Billy Graham. You don’t have to be world famous. Simply share your life, the gospel, and your testimony. Trust that your work for the Kingdom will help lead others to the feet of Jesus. That is evangelism! That is the privilege!
Peace & Blessings!
