Do you consider yourself a good person? I believe most people would say yes. Most people would say they are good, kind, and friendly. Frankly, I would be hard pressed to find anyone who would say otherwise.
Bigger question is “Does being good determine your salvation?” It seems like this question has been a highly debated issue over the years. So if you are a good person and do “good works,” some believe their salvation will be secure. Unfortunately, this premise is false! The book of Ephesians states, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
??Ephesians? ?2?:?8?-?9? ?NIV??
The truth ~ God offers salvation, freely, when we accept His Son Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” ~John? ?14?:?6? ?NIV??
We must Focus on Jesus and the truth of the Bible. Because Christ died for our sins and rose again to be seated in Heaven at the right hand of Father, we are adopted into God’s family. There we will live in eternity!
