She was known for praising God in her actions as she prayed every morning, "Let me praise you in the way you love best, by shining on those around me.”
She believed that humiliations are gifts from God that can help people be humble. She knew she was God`s instrument for love and service, and that all of her work was His. Who am I referring to; Mother Teresa.

Mother Teresa is one of the most well-known figures in history. If you would describe her in one word; it would be humility. One of her greatest acts of humility was in the creation of the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India in 1950. According to their website, they list their goal as, “Our community is totally dedicated to the service of the poorest of the poor, irrespective of social class, creed or colour.” Is there any greater act of service than to give to our fellow man; especially those who are the most in need?

When we Focus on Jesus, we should turn our attention to the principle of humility. As written in Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” We follow the life of Christ when we show a spirit of humility to any and every person we encounter.
