I believe it is safe to say that all of us at one time or another wish they have courage. Courage defined is the ability to withstand, persevere and venture when encountering danger or fear. In our Text, Joshua is telling his people to be strong and courageous. His command to his people had less to do with him, but more to do with who he knew would be with them. His courage to deal with what lied ahead for his people was based on his faith and belief in God. Knowing that God was with him, and his people gave them the courage to deal with whatever may come their way.
