11-01-2022 - John Scott | Galatians 5:13

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the great theologian, once said, “You can’t have freedom without obedience, and you can’t have obedience without freedom."

What I believe this great theologian was trying to say is that true obedience comes when we are free to choose to live for Him. Therefore, we can never take for granted the freedom God gives us to serve this present age. I believe this is the challenge Paul is issuing in this scripture in Galatians. "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love." (NIV)

We should strive to serve and help others instead of purely making life about ourselves.

To God be the glory!!!
