In our chosen text, we come to the birth of a nation. The writer of Genesis reminds us through the various chapters that God is relational and that everything God did was so that we would be in relationship with Him. The first chapter of Genesis is the prelude to God?s intentional move to bring structure and order to a chaotic situation. Once God spoke, order came about, and Light was formed. God continued to speak, and other things were formed and/or created. As believers, we can rest assure that when we find ourselves in chaos, all we need to do is speak and live out God?s Word in our lives; whereas we can be facilitators of God?s plan to bring about community.
