In the chosen text, the writer encourages all of us to give God praise. The writer challenges us to focus on three things. Where we praise God, why we praise God and how we praise God. It is befitting that the entire book of Psalms would end with this final exhortation. Yet, I believe the writer is trying to move us from complacency to jubilation. Giving God praise is something that we should do every day. When I think of the Lord and all the Lord has done for me, my soul cries out hallelujah!!! Praising God moves us from going through the motions to taking time out to acknowledge what God is doing, has done and will continue to do.
