In this Gospel narrative, Luke shares with us the circumstances surrounding Mary?s pregnancy. Unbeknownst to Mary, God had singled her out to be the birth mother of His son. She was visited by the angel Gabriel, who shared with her that God had found favor upon her and chosen her to bring His son into the world. When God has chosen you for a specific purpose or duty, know that God?s Grace comes along with it. God?s Grace is his unmerited favor. This gives us hope in times of uncertainty and challenges. To know that God?s favor is upon us is to know that the Lord is with us. Embrace God?s Grace and trust God to be with you wherever you go and whatever you do in His name.
